Pay-Per-Post is live (and why we didn’t build a subscription)

We looked hard at the usual model — readers pay a monthly fee, writers get a cut. It’s a fine model in places with easy recurring billing and cards on file. It’s a rough fit here, where card failures are common and asking a first-time reader to commit to a subscription is a much bigger ask than asking them to pay once for one thing they actually want to read.

So Catch works differently: writers set a one-time price on a piece, readers pay once via eSewa, Khalti, or a mobile wallet, and it’s unlocked for good. No renewals, no surprise charges, no subscription to cancel. Writers keep 90%.
