How we handle your manuscript
- You send it Fill in the form below and attach the full manuscript. You'll get a confirmation email straight away — check your Spam folder if you don't see it.
- First check We check the file opens, the manuscript is complete, and it fits this round.
- Careful reading Our team reads it properly — the story or ideas, the language, and whether readers will love it. This is the part that takes time.
- Our reply Within 3 months we email you: accepted, or accepted with suggested changes.
- If it's accepted We agree the terms with you in writing, then edit, design the cover, set the price together and publish. You keep the rights to your work.
⏳ No reply within 3 months?
We get many manuscripts and can't always write back to each one. If you haven't heard from us within 3 months of sending, please take it that your manuscript wasn't selected this time. You're then completely free to send it to another publisher. Please don't send reminders before then — it doesn't speed things up.
Before you send
- Complete manuscript — the whole book, not just a sample or the first chapters.
- PDF, DOC or DOCX, typed in Unicode Nepali (not Preeti or other old fonts — those turn into gibberish on other computers).
- Your own original work, and you hold the rights to it.
- One manuscript at a time, please — wait for our reply (or the reply time to pass) before sending the next.
- Sent it to another publisher too? That's fine — just tell us if it's accepted elsewhere.
- It's free. WritingNepal never charges a fee to read or publish your manuscript. If anyone asks you for money in our name, tell us.
