WritingNepal Pty. Ltd ("we", "us") runs this site. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it — in plain language, not legal padding.
What we collect
- Account info: name, email, and the profile type you choose (Writer, Publisher, or Catcher/Blogger).
- Activity: what you write, rate, follow, save, and read — this is also how we calculate your Akshar balance.
- Payment info: when you pay for a Catch, payment is handled by eSewa, Khalti, or your mobile wallet provider directly. We don't store your card or wallet credentials ourselves.
- Basic technical data: device and browser info, mainly for keeping the site working and secure.
What we use it for
- Running your account, profile, and Digital Card / Akshar balance
- Processing Pay-Per-Post purchases and paying writers their share
- Showing you a feed and recommendations that make sense for you
- Fixing bugs and improving the site
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties. We don't post on your behalf without you clicking the button yourself.
Who we share it with
Payment processors (eSewa, Khalti, mobile wallet providers) to complete purchases, and any service we use to run the site itself (like hosting). That's it.
Your writing, your rights
Anything you publish — a status update, a Catch, a book listing — stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your writing; see our Terms of Use for the full detail on content ownership.
Cookies
We use basic cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Nothing invasive, no third-party ad tracking.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile information at any time from your account settings, or ask us directly by emailing the address below.
