His first novel, Palpasa Café, won the Madan Puraskar, Nepal's foremost literary prize; he is also the author of the novel Mayur Times. His long-running newspaper column, Coffee Guff, which reflected on travel, love, cafes, nostalgia, politics, and society, won him readers across generations in Nepal.
