Nayan Raj Pandey (born 9 June 1966, Kathmandu) is a Nepali writer and screenwriter known for his figurative representation of contemporary Nepali society, particularly of the Madhesh region. He received the Padmashree Sahitya Puraskar in 2074 BS (2017) for his autobiographical book Yaar. His other notable works include Ular, Loo, Jiyara, and Sallipir. He also writes screenplays for Nepali cinema.
