WritingNepal connects to a handful of outside services to make the site work — sign-in, payments, and email. This page explains, plainly, what each one is for and what it can see. It's a companion to our Privacy Policy, not a replacement for it.
Sign-in providers
If you choose to sign up or log in with Google or Facebook instead of an email/password, that provider handles the actual authentication — we never see or store your Google or Facebook password. They share your name, email, and profile photo with us (only what's needed to create your WritingNepal account), based on whatever permissions you grant during their own sign-in screen. You can review or revoke WritingNepal's access at any time directly from your Google or Facebook account settings, independent of anything on our side.
Payment gateways
When you top up Akshar or pay for a Catch, the actual payment is handled by eSewa, Khalti, or Fonepay directly — not by WritingNepal. We send them the amount and a reference for the transaction; we don't handle or store your card number, wallet PIN, or banking credentials ourselves at any point. Each gateway has its own privacy and security practices, covered by their own policies, not ours.
Email delivery
Transactional emails — signup confirmation, password resets, notifications you've opted into — are sent through Brevo, our email delivery provider. Brevo processes your email address and the content of these messages solely to deliver them; we don't use them for third-party advertising.
What we don't do
We don't sell access to any of these connections, and none of these providers can post, message, or spend Akshar on your behalf without you directly initiating it yourself.
