Rules

  1. Anyone with a WritingNepal account can enter. Entering is free.
  2. One entry per person in each category. Entries from extra accounts made by the same person are all disqualified.
  3. WritingNepal team members can't enter for prizes.
  4. Your own original work, not published anywhere before — including Facebook, magazines, blogs or books.
  5. Written in Nepali and connected to this competition's theme.
  6. Writing produced by AI tools (ChatGPT and others) or copied from someone else is disqualified, and any Akshar received is taken back.
  7. Hate, explicit content or personal attacks are removed under the Community Rules.
  8. Write it from “Enter” on this page. It's published on your profile as a free Catch — it can't be made paid.
  9. You can send and edit until 11:59 pm Nepal time on the last day. After that, entries are locked.
  10. WritingNepal judges every entry without looking at the writer's name: connection to the theme, language and craft, originality, and impact on the reader.
  11. “Readers' choice” is decided by readers' likes. Only likes from accounts created before the competition opened are counted.
  12. Prize Akshar reaches winners' accounts within 7 days of the results. It's reward Akshar — it unlocks Catches but can't be withdrawn as cash.
  13. WritingNepal's decision is final. If fewer than 10 entries arrive, the competition may be extended or prizes reduced.
  14. Copyright always stays with the writer. WritingNepal may show the piece, with credit, on the site, on social media and in a future anthology — writers are asked before anything is printed.
